Ohtsukumi shellmound
The Jomon shell mound in the Ohtsukumi district ofTohshi-Jima (Tousi or Tohshi Island) is believed to be the only one in the Ise-Bay area. Information on access or display is lacking, but the Toba City office may be able to provide information: Toba Municipal Government, 1-1 Toba 3-chome Toba-shi, Mie Pref. 517-0011.
This tiny island is listed in a curious list of islands all around Japan, provided by a radio ham group that specialises in monitoring radio contact with locations all around the world: Japan Island Award Listing.
