Fukui Cave
This site has some of the oldest known pottery in Japan (incipient to early Jomon), with wares identified as Oshigatamon, Tsumegatamon, and Ryusenmon. Located in Yoshii town, Nagasaki.
Sempukuji Cave
Incipient - early Jomon, with some of the oldest pottery in Japan Toryumon (bean applique), was found (Oatsu or Oshigatamon, Tsumegatamon, and Ryusenmon styles. Located at Sasebo City, Nagasaki. Presumably some is displayed in the Sasebo City Art Museum, which has a large archaeological collection.

Sasebo City Art Museum
The museum collection includes 200,000 archaeological relics. Located at 6-22 Shimanose-cho, Sasebo City, Nagasaki 857-0806. Tel. 0956-22-7213. Open: 10:00 - 18:00. Closed: Tuesday and New Year's Holiday (Dec.29-Jan.3) (English website not yet available or found).
